Two People Struck By Vehicles In Downtown Windsor

Police are investigating after a man and a woman were struck by vehicles in two separate collisions in downtown Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says officers were called to the area of Riverside Dr. E and Ouellette Ave. on Monday around 8:30pm, after a male skateboarder was hit.

The skateboarder was rushed to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Shortly after at around 9:10pm, police say a woman was struck at the intersection of Ouellette Ave. and University Ave. E.  She was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Both investigations are ongoing and no further information has been released at this time.

Riverside Dr. was closed between Goyeau and Ferry streets while officers conducted an investigation.
