Many residents are voicing concerns about garbage that is being dumped at the former GM Transmission site.
But Ward 4 Councillor Chris Holt says many are very understanding once the learn of the overall plan.
"The waste piles aren't growing at all, they're actually diminishing and we're actually keeping up with the demand. So it is a very temporary transfer site and the piles are not growing," says Holt.
He says the city has been working with some of the neighbours and some of the piles have been moved farther away from homes.
He expects the site to be used for another two weeks but says the situation will be reassessed this weekend.
