Two Facing Charges After Using Counterfeit Money

Two men are facing charges after Windsor police conducted a counterfeit currency investigation over the last week.

Police were first called to a store on Tecumseh Rd. E near Lauzon Rd. on September 10, after a store employee refused to accept a suspected counterfeit $100 US bill.

The employee provided a description of the suspects to police and informed them they left in a black Chrysler 300.

A second report was made that same morning.

Police located the vehicle on Lauzon Rd. with the suspects inside. Both were arrest without incident.

Officers allegedly recovered 96 US counterfeit $100 bills from the suspects. They face charges of possession of counterfeit currency, utter counterfeit currency, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
