Tecumseh will celebrate Labour Day weekend with a bang or two.
The town will hold its rescheduled fireworks display Saturday evening at Lakewood Park. The display is set to begin at 9pm.
This will be the rain date set by the town earlier this summer for their Canada 150 fireworks show, which was postponed due to rain and high winds. The display is sponsored by the government of Canada.
Before the fireworks begin, everyone is invited to the Lakewood Park lakeshore for a bonfire and marshmallow roast. This is the second year in the row the town is having it. Complementary sticks will be provided beginning at 6pm.
Singer-songwriter Glen MacNeil is scheduled to perform from 6pm to 8pm, sponsored by Mix 96.7 and Windsor's Country 959. There will also be plenty of games and activities going on, supervised by the town's day camp staff. Jangles the Clown will create his balloon animals as well.
