Police Investigate Shooting, Stabbing And Pepper Spray Attack

Windsor police are investigating a shooting, stabbing and pepper spray assault in downtown Windsor.

The incidents occurred in the area of Glengarry Ave, University Ave and Louis Ave. around 4:15pm afternoon and are likely all related.

Police say two males and a female were approached by a male on a bike and sprayed with a noxious substance (probably pepper spray). Video surveillance then revealed that one of those males shot the male on the bike in the arm with a handgun.

The person on the bike, who was shot in the arm, is 15 years old and is charged with assault with a weapon.

Police believe they have identified the shooter and are seeking his whereabouts and a warrant for his arrest.

Around the same time officers went to the area of University Ave. and Louis Ave. for reports of a stabbing. A 19-year-old male sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspect in this case is male, black, light skin, 19-20 years old 6'0", and slim build.

Investigators believe there may be a link between the incidents and that they were not random acts.
