Windsor football star Tyrone Crawford of the Dallas Cowboys is teaming up with friends to give some Windsor youth free backpacks filled with school supplies.
Crawford grew up in the Glengary area with Mehari Hagos and Ali Ahmed and they want local youth to put their best foot forward on the first day of school.
They say it's their way of giving back.
A motivational video by Crawford was featured during the backpack giveaway Friday evening at Water World.
