The Honey Family Foundation has handed over a cheque for $10,000 to support the large scale redevelopment of Mettawas Park in Kingsville.
The project is in the early stages so far, but eventually, the park will boast a splash park, beach area, pavilion, playground and boardwalk.
The town sought public input for its Recreation Master Plan and access to beaches is a top priority.
The first phase includes a gazebo, landscaping, gardens and a pathway.
