One person is dead after a pickup truck left the road and struck a light pole in LaSalle.
The LaSalle Police Service says on Thursday just after 3:30pm, the Dodge Ram pickup was travelling east on Monty St. between Malden Rd. and Matchette Rd., when it left the roadway and struck the pole.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead the scene. No further information has been released regarding the identity of the driver.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area while officers conduct an investigation at the scene.
