Pedestrian Hit In Downtown Windsor Intersection

Windsor police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in downtown Windsor.

Police say it happened at 5:40am Thursday at the corner of Ouellette Ave. and Elliott St.

A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident shut down the intersection for a few hours during the morning commute, and reopened just after 8am.

The investigation is still in the early stages, so police can not speculate if charges will be laid.
