A local highway has reopened following a fatal crash Wednesday morning.
One person was killed and another is facing life-threatening injuries after a collision on Hwy. 77 at Lakeshore Road 310.
OPP were called to the scene around 8:15am for reports of the collision between the transport truck and a white SUV.
OPP Constable Jim Root said investigators would be on scene for most of the day to investigate.
"We are at an intersection so obviously one of the vehicles had the right of way and the other vehicles their movements were controlled by a stop sign. We have our OPP technical collision investigators at the scene and they will spend a few hours here determining direction of travel and what's gone on," says Root.
The driver of the transport truck was declared deceased on scene while the driver of the SUV was transported to hospital.
Hwy. 77 Between Lakeshore Road 311 and Lakeshore Road 309 reopened shortly after 9:30pm Wednesday.
