Windsor-Tecumseh government representatives are encouraging the community to donate blood if possible.
NDP MPP Percy Hatfield and MP Cheryl Hardcastle hosted a blood donor clinic Wednesday with Canadian Blood Services to remind people the importance of giving blood.
Hardcastle says you never know when someone in your family will need a blood product.
"You don't know who is getting it or who is benefitting but you know that somewhere around the country is a grateful Canadian who is loved by someone and you want the same for yourself," says Hardcastle.
