Several local companies are scouting out Chatham-Kent youth to fill a variety of summer and full-time positions.
The job fair, which was hosted by the Chatham Kent Employment Resource Centre, was held at the Chatham Public Library Wednesday afternoon.
The event showcased different booths for young people to speak with local employers about finding a potential summer job or full-time work.
Laura Hinnegan, a recruiter for Canadian Executive Search, says there are many positions up for grabs.
"We have a lot of clients in the Chatham-Kent area, mostly factory labour. As well as some some office and customer service positions," says Hinnegan.

Reliance Home Comfort Operations Manager Chris Taylor is looking to fill a variety of positions, including water and heater installers, full HVAC technicians, and warehouse runners.
Taylor says some positions don't require specific experience or education.
"Just to start as a warehouse runner, all they have to do is start an apprenticeship. They just have to sign up for one and then we can get them going on whatever they need to do," explains Taylor.
Denis Giles, an aquatic supervisor for YMCA, is looking for many full-time and summer positions in housekeeping, swimming, childcare, and membership services.
"Qualifications would be an outgoing personality, enjoys families and kids, and genuinely wants to be apart of a healthy lifestyle," says Giles.
Other employers that came to the fair include Tim Hortons, Concentrix, and Nettleton’s Corn Detassling.
