Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital is starting a youth advisory council.
Around 12 youth have been chosen to participate after an application and interview process.
CEO Janice Kaffer says the council will be advising the board and administration on youth engagement strategies.
"What services do they want to see? They're active in their community, what are they hearing when they are involved in the rotary or in their church group or community group, that's what we're hoping to get from them," says Kaffer.
The group will meet over the summer and have its first official meeting in September.
