Fork and Cork Features All Things Local

This year's Fork and Cork Festival is hoping its headliner bands will draw in 30,000 people to the three day festival.

The festival on Windsor's waterfront happens July 7-10 and features The Trews on Friday night and Finger Eleven on Saturday night along with 20 local bands.

Organizer Chris Mickle says the entire focus of the festival is to highlight everything local.

"The idea of this festival from the beginning was to celebrate everything local and just being able to present in a large format the diversity in the food, the culinary sector, the wines, the breweries and also our music. The talented musicians , the pool is so deep in Windsor it's actually tough to pick who plays," says Mickle.

There will be local wineries, breweries, and restaurants featured at the event.

Advanced tickets are $15 a night or $25 tickets for the weekend and are available online now. Proceeds from the festival go toward Autism Ontario, Windsor-Essex.
