Windsor Police Services are investigating the fatal shooting of a 59-year-old man on Elsmere Ave.
Police were called to a residence in the 900 block of Elsmere Ave. about a shooting, just after midnight on Saturday.
Police say officers arrived on scene to find a 59-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A 53-year-old male was arrested at the scene. Police say they believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
A firearm was located. Investigators say they don't believe there is a threat to public safety.
The Major Crimes Branch is currently investigating.
