Veterans Affairs Reopens Windsor Office Soon

Veterans Affairs Canada says it will reopen its office in Windsor next month.

There is no specific date set, but the new location will be at 1 Riverside Dr. W on the 6th floor. That was announced last August by Minister of Veterans Affairs, Kent Hehr.

At that time, Hehr said the office would be staffed by 17 workers, although a spokesman at Veterans Affairs says the exact number will be announced closer to the date of the opening.

The original office in Windsor closed in January 2014, along with nine others across the country, prompting protests.

It has forced thousands of veterans to travel to London for face-to-face service.
