Ridership at Transit Windsor has spiked.
A report shows around 6.5-million people rode the bus in Windsor last year compared to 6.3-million in 2015. That's an increase of about 164,000 rides or 2.58%.
The industry average is around 2%.
Student and senior rides went up while adult rides went down.
Transit Windsor introduced a student U-Pass in September and increased fares in July.
Increased ridership means more gas tax revenue for the city.
Main lines like Transway 1A, Transway 1C and Crosstown 2 all perform well, while Lauzon 10 and Parent 14 are the worst performing bus routes.
