Essex Fire and Rescue Services are investigating the cause of a fire at a day care centre.
On Friday before midnight, fire crews were called to Story Book Early Learning Centre on Arthur Ave.
Fire officials say they were able to fully extinguishing the fire by Saturday morning.
No injuries were reported but damage is estimated at $750,000.
Donna Hedrick, director of Story Book, sent out an email to clients pointing out that the Arthur Ave location was the only one affected, and the one at Essex Public School is operating as usual for those families already enrolled there. Hedrick said in the email that they are working to secure a temporary place for Arthur Ave clients
The email was sent to Essex's communications manager, Laurie Brett, who distributed it since the centre's records were destroyed in the fire and phone communication was being rerouted.
