Event To Help Amherstburg Family Affected By Tragedy

There is a fundraiser Friday night to help the family of an Amherstburg man killed on his way into work.

Adam Pouget was walking along County Rd. 18 the morning of November 17 when he was struck and killed by a car. The Ontario Provincial Police say it was foggy that morning and the driver of the car was allegedly speeding.

The driver of the car has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.

The 30-year-old man left behind his wife, Ashley Dupuis and four children, including an eight-week-old baby.

Dupuis has since hired the Windsor law firm, Greg Monforton and Partners to investigate the incident.

The fundraiser, dubbed "Adam's Eve," is expected to offset some of the family's expenses.

There will be live music featuring Jody Raffoul, a silent auction, food and drinks.

It starts at 7pm at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg until 11pm.
