Knights End Spits' Streak 4-0

The Windsor Spitfires had their way last weekend with the London Knights.  Thursday it was Windsor's turn to take it on the chin in a 4-0 shutout at Budweiser Gardens.

The Spitfires saw their four-game winning streak end as Knights goalie Tyler Parsons knocked away all 18 Spitfires shots.  The loss puts Windsor one point behind the Sarnia Sting in the OHL West Division while London finds itself a point behind Kitchener in the Midwest Division.

Victor Mete's opening period goal would be all that was needed to give the edge to the Knights.  That goal came at 12:39 into the first period, assisted by Max Jones and J.J. Piccinich.  Piccinich would assist again on London's next goal, off the stick of Janne Kukkoanen with just ten ticks left in the period.

Cliff Pu would notch his fourth goal of the season in the seconds period with Jones helping out on that one.  Jones would find the net himself in the third period with Pu and Evan Boucahrd earning assist points.

The Knights head to Erie Saturday night to face the Erie Otters.  Windsor has a long layoff before hosting Kingston Thursday at the WFCU Centre.
