Public Opinion Wanted For Police Business Plan

The Windsor Police Service Board will be asking for the public's help when they begin writing their business plan for the next three years.

"The Police Services Act requires us to undertake a business plan," says Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. "The goal is to have wide community consultation both with members of the public but also stakeholders and other organizations that rely on police services."

The business plan will set out the goals, objectives and bench marks for the Windsor Police Service from 2017-2019.

"If there are gaps that people think we should be addressing, if there are issues that people want to bring forward that we should be addressing now is the time to do it because this document will guide how the police service moves forward for the next three years," says Dilkens.

The board will collect public comment at the annual ward meetings this fall as well as through online surveys.
