Ron MacLean and Hometown Hockey Coming To Windsor

The City of Windsor plans to play host to a broadcasting legend and the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour this November.

Windsor will host two days of celebrations, November 19 and 20 at the Riverfront Festival Plaza.

The Red Wings host the Flames on the Sunday.

It'll be a homecoming for Wings foward Steve Ott who played for the Sun County Panthers, Belle River Canadiens, the Leamington Flyers and the Windsor Spitfires.  The Flames have a local connection too with defenceman TJ Brodie who is from Chatham.

Ron MacLean, of Hockey Night in Canada, will be featured in a special Sportsnet Broadcast, along with co-host Tara Slone.

"Hockey is part of the fabric of our community," says Mayor Drew Dilkens. "We are very proud to help celebrate the game."

Windsor is one of a series of cities and towns where the tour will stop this NHL season.
