City of Windsor officials continue to work to clear debris and restore power in the aftermath of the tornado that hit central Windsor and LaSalle.

Riberdy Rd., Deziel Dr., Kautex Dr., and the North Service Rd. remain closed as city crews work to clear debris.
Enwin is reporting approximately 40 properties without power. Crews will commence installing two transformer banks late Thursday in an effort to restore power to customers whose facilities are inspected and deemed safe for reconnection. A complete line re-build is required at the corner of Kautex and Deziel Dr.
City building inspectors have evaluated 15 homes on Riberdy Rd. of the families who were displaced by the storm. The inspectors issued orders to the properties and instructed owners to deal with insurance providers.
Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens is asking people to avoid the damaged areas.
"We're still working very hard to clean up debris, you'll notice that there's twisted metal hanging on hydro wires throughout part of that area, there are safety concerns," says Dilkens.
Dilkens asks anyone who witnesses anything that needs city attention to report it to 311.
"Of course, please have patience, this is one of those days where we expect to have a high call volume," says Dilkens.
The Transit Windsor building did sustain damage to the roof, solar panels and windows however buses are running as normal.
