Car Cruise Coming To Ouellette

The Downtown Windsor BIA is hosting the inaugural Ouellette Car Cruise next month.

The parade of vintage, custom and collector cars is on Friday, August 19 to coincide with the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, Mi.

DWBIA President Larry Horwitz says it's time for Windsor to have an event to mark its place as the automotive capital of Canada.

"Everybody who has a really cool classic car will be able to join in. I believe it will create millions of dollars down the road in economic opportunities for the city," says Horwitz.

Anyone interested in joining the cruise can bring their cars to the foot of Ouellette Ave. prior to the cars leaving at 5pm. The cars will travel south on Ouellette Ave. to Tecumseh Rd., turn east and travel to Pillette Rd. and then head back north to Riverside Dr. ending back at Ouellette Ave.
