Retired Ontario environment commissioner of 15 years thinks Windsor's new anti-idling bylaw could go one step further.
During his visit to the Rose City, Gord Miller says he's "astounded" governments at all levels aren't doing more to help the environment when it comes to vehicle idling.

"We produce electric school buses in Quebec," says Miller. "Why don't we not worry about idling, lets go electric for key vehicles that have to idle"
City council voted Monday to reduce the idling bylaw to three minutes, down from five.
Windsor bylaw officers didn't hand out any idling infractions last year. However, the fine for the first time is $100. Repeat offenders can be slapped with an infraction up to $5,000.
Miller says it boils down to money and hopes decision-makers will soon get on board with being green.
