Windsor police say Wyandotte St. E is still closed between Parent Ave. to Marentette St. after Monday's fire at a restaurant and auto body shop.
Firefighters continue to hit hot spots Tuesday morning, more than 24 hours after the fire began. Heavy equipment is also being brought in to dismantle the building and help with the investigation.
Crews responded to the fire in the back of the building that houses Le Chef Restaurant and Downtown Auto Service just after 8am Monday.
A Tim Horton's and a Petro Canada gas station next to the fire were evacuated soon after firefighters arrived on the scene.

Heavy flames and smoke blanketed Wyandotte St. E and neighbouring streets after the fire spread rapidly. Residents living near the fire were cautioned to stay inside and close their windows.
Ministry of the Environment officials are also on the scene. Investigators from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal are expected to investigate as well.
EnWin reported power outages in a three-block radius because of damage to overhanging wires.
No injuries are reported.
So far, the cause and damage estimate is still unknown.
