Police say what looked like a threat against a Windsor high school was nothing more than an artistic poem "that went wrong."

The Windsor Police Service says, Sunday afternoon, officers were made aware of the message on an app called Whisper. At the time, police thought the message was directed at the Walkerville Collegiate Institute due to the message's use of the school's team name, "Tartans."
The post was made under the user name "The Sphinx" in Windsor, and was posted around 11am. Whisper is a mobile app that allows users to send messages anonymously, and receive replies.
Police say they spoke with the female student who wrote the passage after she went to police headquarters with her parent. Officials determined there was no threat, but they are increasing their presence at the school Monday to alleviate any concerns.
Officials with the high school and the Greater Essex District High School were made aware of the message. Police say school staff are now handling the situation.
Walkerville Collegiate Institute Principal David Garlick posted on Twitter on Sunday night to say the school will be open on Monday.
Windsor police are reminding parents to talk with their kids about posting material online that can be interpreted as threatening.
