WPS Renew Reward For Homicide Suspect

The Windsor Police Service is renewing the $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for first degree murder.

On December 22, 2007 Luis Acosta-Escobar was fatally shot around 4:30am on Pelissier St.

Windsor police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Mohamud Abukar Hagi in relation to the investigation.

"The last known information that we have is that he was in the Toronto area. We have received from tips from the public but those haven't panned out obviously. We're just again appealing to the public. Anyone with any information at all, we want to hear from you," says Windsor Police Constable Andrew Drouillard.

Hagi, otherwise known has "O.O", "Uh Oh" or "Jamal", is around 5'9" and weighs 160-190 lbs.

Anyone with information or tips that could lead to his whereabouts are asked to call the Windsor Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

The reward was renewed at the Windsor Police Service Board meeting Thursday as it was set to expire on June 21, 2016.
