Spitfires '7th Man' Stolen

The Windsor Spitfires are asking for the safe return of their 7th man- a novelty graphic cut-out of a headless Spitfires player.

The 7th man was introduced to fans on Saturday night as an opportunity to take pictures and become part of the team.

After the 8-3 win over the London Knights Saturday night four male fans were seen leaving the arena with the nearly 100 lb wood cut-out.

Windsor Spitfires spokesperson Dave Ducharme says they did not file a police report. Their number one concern is the return of the cutout.

"We are relying on the good faith of the public," says Ducharme. "Our primary interest is in recovering him. If he is returned there will be no questions asked."

The team is offering a reward for any information that leads to the whereabouts of the 7th man.
