Amherstburg Hires Consulting Firm

The Town of Amherstburg is moving forward with a community based strategic plan.

The Town is hiring MDB Insight, a consulting firm from the Toronto area, to complete the document that will guide decision making in the town moving forward.

Amherstburg Mayor Aldo DiCarlo says consultants will engage multiple stakeholders from residents to business owners.

"Hopefully we'll come away with one global direction for the town but with a few different directions built in," says DiCarlo.

Work will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2016.

"The intent is to prioritize everything from projects to economic development and obviously our finances roll into that," says Dicarlo

The project will cost around $36,500. The funds were allocated as part of the CAO's budget in 2016.
