The Greater Essex County District School Board and the Essex County Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario have reached a tentative agreement on a local contract.
A tentative deal was reached on the provincial level in November 2015.
ETFO President Adelina Cecchin says negotiations at the local level were very positive.
"We continue to maintain a focus of really problem solving any of the issues and for me it's really important to recognize that collective bargaining at the local level that we've been able to preserve and really maintain the integrity of collective bargaining," she says.
The board will vote on the deal on February 2. The union is still finalizing details on when they will hold the ratification vote.
