Nesbeth Loses Appeal

Former Windsor Police officer Dorothy Nesbeth has lost her appeal with the Ontario Civilian Police Commission.

Nesbeth was charged with misconduct and was suspended with pay in 2010 after failing to declare the purchase of alcohol at the border.

The constable was dismissed from the Windsor Police Service in December 2014 after a Police Service Act Hearing judge found her guilty on one charge of deceit and one charge of discreditable conduct. She filed an appeal almost immediately after.

In the written decision from the Ontario Civilian Police Commission the panel confirmed the original charges and upheld the decision to dismiss Nesbeth from the Windsor Police Service.

Up until now Nesbeth was suspended with pay, collecting more than $450,000 while off work.
