The investigation into a fire at Windsor restaurant is done for the day without a confirmed cause or damage total.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal is looking into what started Monday's fire at the Pizza Brothers restaurant.
The fire started inside the pizza place at 4:15am and caused extensive damage inside the restaurant. Two other businesses in the same plaza, a convenience store and a carpet store suffered smoke and water damage. A house behind the plaza which houses CompuWay also appears to have sustained some damage to the exterior. All told, fire prevention officer John Lee says the damage could total more than $500,000.
When asked if there were any injuries, Lee told BlackburnNews.com "not that I'm aware of."
The fire shut down Wyandotte St. E between Pierre Ave. and Marion Ave. for much of the morning.
Lee says firefighters have responded to three previous fire at the Pizza Brothers location over the last number of years.
