The AMO conference may be in Niagara Falls this year, but Windsor-Essex is going to try to be front and centre.
County of Essex CAO Brian Gregg says with the major municipal conference being hosted locally next year, officials are making their presence known at this year's event.
"We'll be featuring some local wine and spirits at the reception, so I would encourage all members of council and local municipalities to make sure they come out and spread the word of Essex County at the AMO conference this year," says Gregg.
Local tourism official are also set to be in Niagara Falls pushing the AMO conference in Windsor-Essex.
"Just indicating the amenities that are available here in our region and trying to entice and illicit delegates to make sure they come down to Windsor-Essex when it's held here next year," says Gregg.
The Association of Municipalities of Ontario 2016 conference is being jointly hosted by Windsor and Essex County. The conference in Niagara Falls runs Sunday to Wednesday.
