Leamington council will consider three different site plans tonight, including a new building in uptown Leamington, a medical clinic, and a 6-story apartment building.
The new commercial building will be on a vacant lot on Mill St. and the 106-unit apartment building is just off Seacliff Dr. and Cherry lane.
The medical clinic gives Mayor John Paterson mixed emotions. He says it's good for the town, but will see a house important to him torn down. "One Georgia Ave., the big gray house on the corner, is where I was born and raised. I used to know all of the families that lived in those houses along Erie St. S, but I think a lot of them have been vacant for a while."
Paterson says it's just the latest round of development that shows Leamington is a good place to invest.
