Police are charging a 31-year-old Windsor man with sexual assault.
Officers report being called to the area of Wyandotte St. and Drouillard Rd. around 11pm on June 24, 2015. A 41-year-old woman was found by police with a bloody nose and scratches on her back.
Police say the woman met a man in the area of Albert Rd. and Edna St. and report the two walked together to the brush area east of Drouillard Rd. just south of the train tracks. The man allegedly assaulted the woman.
She was sent to hospital and has since been released.
Police found their suspect in the 600-block of Pierre Ave. and made an arrest around 9:30pm yesterday. In addition to the charge of sexual assault, the suspect is also charged with assault.
