Excavator Joy Ride At Ojibway (GALLERY)

Windsor police are looking for anyone with information on the case of an excavator joyride in the Ojibway Nature Reserve.

Officers were called to Windsor Raceway on Sunday around 9:30pm after receiving a complaint an excavator being used in the old track's demolition had been taken.

Polce report the John Deere 450 Excavator had about $5,000 damage to the engine vent area, front cage and mirror. Damage to a porta-potty is estimated at $2,000.

The excavator was driven about 75 metres into the bush of the nature reserve according to police.

Police are still looking for more witnesses to speak to regarding the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700 x4211 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS). Tips are also accepted through Facebook.
