Free Service On Fireworks Night

Transit Windsor is again making it easy for all residents to get to and from the fireworks on the Detroit River next month.

Executive Director Pat Delmore says all city buses will be free on June 22 from 6pm-1am. That includes the park-and-ride shuttles from Devonshire Mall. "We have complete access to McDougall Ave. The street is shut down (by Windsor police) for buses only, which really allows us to get in and out of the downtown core, quick and easy."

Delmore says more than 18,000 people used the free bus service to get to and from the waterfront for last year's fireworks show.

Zehrs pays for all of Transit Windsor's expenses that night, to ensure everyone can get downtown.
