Tonight marks the first meeting of Leamington Council since the death of Rick Atkin.
The councillor missed last week's meeting and was found dead in his home the following day.
Mayor John Paterson says it will be a difficult meeting to get through, but business has to continue. "Last week he wasn't there. None of us really knew, but it didn't strike us as that odd. Now, knowing the situation, we're going to be looking at that empty seat and it's not going to be the same."
Paterson says they have already had discussions about ways to honour Atkin, who was also a long-time town employee.
Details could be discussed at tonight's meeting.
