Update: Two Homes Damaged In Fire

Investigators from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal will be at the scene of a house fire that sent one person to hospital and damaged a home next door.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Sunday around 6:30pm, firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire at 4285 Spago Cres. to find the first floor fully involved with fire. The fire also damaged the home next door at 4281 Spago Cres.

Fire officials say one person from the home where the fire started is in hospital being treated for unknown injuries. Five other people were able to make it out of the home safely. The family of ten next door were not home at the time of the fire. 

All 16 residents have been displaced due to the blaze.

OFM investigators are expected to continue their investigation into the fire at 4285 Tuesday.

At 4281, damage to the home is estimated at $170,000.  There was another $30,000 damage to contents inside the home.
