Musyj Applauds County Hospital Savings

David Musyj is calling county council true leaders for starting to save for the proposed new mega-hospital for Windsor-Essex.

Musyj is CEO of Windsor Regional Hospital and Co-Chair of the Program and Services Steering Committee for the new hospital. He was suprised to see the county have $340,000 in its 2015 budget for the project.

"Usually to get money you got to ask for it and the fact that [county council] thought about this project and said 'You know what, we should start setting money aside to support this project.' That is true leadership," says Musyj. "I give them kudos for doing it."

Musyj adds the City of Windsor is also behind the project with Mayor Drew Dilkens recently reaching out for a public information session in the city, but a date hasn't been set yet.

County council finalized its budget on Wednesday.
