Brentwood Lottery Exceeds Expectations

With its lottery fundraiser wrapping up, the Brentwood Recovery Home in Windsor has exceeded this year's goal.

The Brentwood Lottery sold over 26,800 tickets before the end of 2014, which is the most the home has sold in the past six years. Each ticket sold for $50 or three for $100. Last year the Brentwood Lottery sold around 24,000 tickets.

Brentwood Recovery Home Executive Director Dan Soulliere says the home is thrilled with the lottery's end result.

"We're so grateful to the people in the community who stepped up, especially in the last few days," he says. "They always do come through... they know what an asset Brentwood is to the community."

Brentwood gets some financial support from the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, but has to raise two-thirds of its funding in the community. All of the proceeds raised from the sale of the lottery tickets will be used for programs at the Brentwood Recovery Home. The names of the lottery winners will be announced on Monday on the Brentwood Lottery website. (http://www.brentwoodlottery.com/)
