The Leamington Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is gearing up for a new year, introducing a couple of new members at the first meeting of the new Leamington Council.
"Maybe some experience and a good job in the future," says Peter Bot, a first-time MYAC member and student at Leamington District Secondary School.
Kelsey Augustine from Cardinal Carter Catholic High School is spending her second year on the youth council.
"It definitely gives you a lot of experience with the town and you make a lot of friends also," says Augustine. "It gives you volunteering hours as well, which is really great, so you're helping the community become a better place and your helping yourself also because you need those volunteer hours."
MYAC meets monthly and gives Leamington Mayor John Paterson an outlet to the youth voice in the community.
