Looking To Stop The Slide

The Spitfires can snap a five-game losing streak tonight, as they host Plymouth.

Three powerplay goals pushed the Whalers past Windsor on Wednesday night, 4-3 in Michigan.

Spits Captain Patrick Sanvido's confident that if they can clean up the special teams part of their game, they'll start winning again. "Before the London game last weekend, on the PK at least, we were 80% and seventh in the league I think it was. After two games now, in London and then Wednesday, we're back down to 17th," explains the defenceman.

Plymouth and Saginaw are the closest teams to Windsor in the standings at 22 points.  The Spits have 15 with a game in hand on both clubs.

A trip to Saginaw follows tonight's game at the WFCU Centre.  The puck drop is set for 7:35pm.
