Windsor Stars Seal Another Affiliation

A second affiliation deal is done for the Windsor Stars, this time with the Ciociaro Soccer Club.

Anthony Liolli is the president of the Ciociaro Soccer Club. He thinks the deal with the only League1 Ontario team in the city could mean better player development locally.

"I think as more clubs buy into it, start exposing their kids to more of it and if the Stars start doing more clinics and getting out into the community to the clubs, like this agreement, then I think it will help through the years," says Liolli. "We just want to expose our kids to a higher level of soccer."

The Ciociaro Soccer Club has more than 600 players ranging from house league to senior teams.

The Windsor Stars play in League1 Ontario, the highest level of sanctioned soccer in the province, and completed their first affiliation deal with Windsor FC Nationals in August.
