Green Party candidate in Windsor-Tecumseh, Adam Wright, is feeling good after the byelection.

He says, “For us it’s kind of mission accomplished.  We got the word out to a lot of Green Party supporters and I think all of the conversations we had, and all the dialogue that we had with supporters was a great success on its own.”

Wright feels there’s potential in Windsor-Tecumseh for a Green Party base, and says he could eventually head up a riding association in the area.

In the 2011 provincial election, the Green Party took just over 2% of the riding’s vote.  Unofficial results from last night’s byelection show the Greens a lot closer to 4%.
