Donations are down at Brentwood after counting funds raised through its annual home lottery contest.
Administrator Mark Lennox is very pleased they sold just under 24,000 tickets, raising $300,000. However, that’s about 3,000 tickets less than last year. “That translates to about $75,000, so yeah, we’ll miss it — especially now that we’re starting our adolescent program,” says Lennox. “But, we do an awful lot of fund raising, so we’ll find other sources.”
The Administrator says the lottery money helps to fund youth, spousal and aftercare programs, as well as some of Brentwood’s core business. Government funding only pays for a third of those housed at the facility right now.
This year’s Brentwood Home Lottery winners are Rob and Debbie Smith.
