When it comes to the Ontario Liberal leadership race, Sandra Pupatello says she’s in the middle of the pack.
Of the seven people running for the job, Pupatello calls Toronto area MPP Kathleen Wynne the front-runner.
But the former Windsor-West MPP says come decision time, it’s all about who’s on your side. “I hope that as I go through the balance of this campaign I get to talk to every member of the Party, every delegate that gets elected in the middle of January and get to say ‘This is why I need your support. This is why I feel I can win the election’ or ‘I feel that this is what the people are talking about,” says Pupatello. “It’s about the economy, and there’s not one candidate that can do that better than me.”
The race for the Ontario Liberal leadership held their first all-candidates meeting in Ingersoll over the weekend. A winner will be selected at the Liberal leadership convention at the end of January.
