A big night for Neil Young fans in Windsor, and for the WFCU Centre.
Thousands of fans, both young and old, came out to watch one of rock’s biggest legends perform, and they weren’t disappointed. The two hour set opened with the national anthem and included many old favourites including “The Needle and the Damage Done” and “Out of the Blue.” Other recognizable tunes included those with a more country vibe like “I Was Born In Ontario”.
Many fans, like John Herbster, wonder if Young’s appearance in Windsor could lead to more big stars performing at the WFCU Centre. “I think it’s great for Windsor, great for the city, and I think they’ll get bigger (names) too.”
Los Lobos, from East Los Angeles, opened the show.
