Police Briefs – Tuesday September 19, 2017

A watchful neighbour gets the credit for the arrest of two men in a break-and-enter on Tecumseh Rd. W near Janette Ave.

The neighbour called police around 11:45am Monday to report two men inside a vacant building undergoing renovation.

Officers found the suspects inside the building. They say the men were trying to steal copper wire and had damaged several electrical panels.

A 40-year-old man from LaSalle and a 33-year-old Windsor man face break and enter, and possession of break and enter instrument charges.

Three people are facing charges after thefts from Canadian Tire and Walmart in Amherstburg.

The first thefts were reported at the Canadian Tire on September 16, 2017. A male suspect was reported leaving the store in a vehicle and headed toward the Walmart nearby.

Police located the vehicle at Walmart with three individuals and stolen items inside.

Two men and a woman from Windsor are facing charges.
